Cervical cancer screening campaign

In honour of Mwalimu Nyerere Day, the FWPPS Organization partnered with the Butiama District Hospital to launch an impactful three-day campaign. The primary goals of this initiative were to enhance cervical cancer awareness and encourage more women specifically those aged 30-60 years to seek screenings for the early detection of potential precancerous conditions. Cervical cancer poses a formidable challenge to global healthcare, claiming numerous lives annually, especially in underserved areas where awareness and access to screening services may be limited. This devastating disease can be prevented, and lives can be saved through coordinated efforts to raise awareness, expand access to screening services, and advocate for vaccination where relevant. The campaign organized by FWPPS and the Butiama District Hospital is a testament to the potential of collective action and determination.
